Arthur served his country proudly with the Massachusetts Army National Guard, 181st Infantry, 26th Division and retired as Major in the United States Army Reserves after 20 years of service. He also served the Town of Shrewsbury as an Elected Town Meeting Member for 6 years, a member of the Finance Committee for 12 years, serving as chairman for 8 of those years.

ShrewsburyGeorge R. Bell, 91, a Special Police Officer and longtime resident of Shrewsbury died Monday, Dec. 17 after a brief illness.

Bell served his country proudly during WW II in the Asiatic Pacific Theater with the United States Navy. He also served his fellow citizens and the Town of Shrewsbury as a Special Police Officer for over 20 years, retiring in 1995.

NorthboroughHelen DiBona, 91, of Northborough, formerly of Leominster, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at the Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Northborough.

Helen was employed as an inspector at Raytheon Company prior to her retirement. She has been a resident of Northborough since 2010 previously living in Leominster.

ShrewsburyMary (Chinosi) Cavanna died peacefully at at the home of her son, Peter and his wife Victoria Cavanna in Shrewsbury on Dec. 18 at the age of 91.

ShrewsburyHerbert Felton Clark passed away, Dec. 18 at his daughter’s home in Boylston at the age of 80.

Felton worked for many years in the printing industry, retiring from the Tennessee Baptist Convention.
