Grafton — Alfred J. "Boompa" Crepeau, 99, passed away April 19, 2013, at The Beaumont in Northbridge.

Crepeau's skills were employed for many years at the Worcester Lunch Car Company where he worked as a finished carpenter producing many fine diners that are still operating all over New England. Fred served in the United States Navy during World War II doing destroyer escort convoy duty in the North Atlantic.

He became involved with the wire and cable industry working for U.S. Steel, James Monroe Wire and Cable, and was the founder and President of Badger Wire and Cable of Fitchburg.
He enjoyed a great number of loyal customers at Harr Motor Co. and following a poll by Worcester Magazine he was rated "Top Automotive Salesperson" in 1983.
