As a registered Nurse, Butka proudly served her country in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps during WWII in England. After the war, she was employed as an emergency nurse at Marlborough Hospital, an industrial nurse at the General Motors Factory in Framingham and finished her nursing career as school nurse at Kane Elementary School in Marlborough.

NatickLydia L. (DiMatteo) Lanzafame of Natick died peacefully on Friday, June 14, 2013 at her home. She was 91 years old.

Lanzafame worked as a Medical Transcriptionist for the MetroWest Medical Center in Natick and Framingham for over fifteen years. She retired at the age of 63 however, less than a year and a half later, she went back to work and continued until she was 87 years old.

WestboroughThomas F. Greene, Jr. of Centerville and Sarasota, Florida, died on June 12, 2013, in his ninety third year.

Greene was born in Westborough, Massachusetts, graduated from Westborough High School and served in World War II. Stationed in England he repaired radios for bombers that had been damaged by enemy fire.

NorthboroughBarbara (Denny) Millikan died on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 in her home.

Millikan worked as an advertising copywriter for several Worcester department stores, and WTAG. After living in Northborough for thirty years, she moved back to Worcester, where she was a member of many local organizations including the Worcester Club, the Worcester Art Museum, and Mechanics Hall.

NatickFlorence M. (Sceles) Wilson of Natick died on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family. She was 79 years old.

Wilson was a Natick resident for 45 years, a faithful member of St. Patrick’s Church of Natick where she attended daily Mass and visited the Adoration Chapel for an hour a week for the last twelve years with her husband Bill.
