H2K Talks with Sudbury TV

Julia Walderzak, owner and creator of H2K Happy Healthy Kids Fitness Studio, recently sat down for an interview with the Sudbury Business Show.  This show spotlights local businesses to help inform the community about businesses right in their community.  In her interview, Julia discussed the reason behind her inspiration to start H2K, the importance of fitness and nutrition for individuals and families, the classes H2K offers, and more!

Julia stated her battle with her weight growing up and lack of interest in competitive sports caused her to find different outlets to shed the weight.  This, combined with the growing child obesity numbers and wanting to provide an outlet for kids who do not benefit much from competitive sports, drove her to create H2K Happy Healthy Kids Fitness Studio.

The Sudbury community has been very receptive to H2K and has started to take advantage of the great classes H2K offers.  These classes include kids Yoga, kids Zumba, kids sports conditioning, teen yoga, adult Yoga, and adult Zumba.  H2K offers classes specifically for kids but also focuses on teens and adults in the hopes that families will be inspired to work on getting fit together.

Also discussed during Julia’s interview was the topic of nutrition.  Julia talked about the challenges of eating well and instilling healthy eating habits in children.  Kids are influenced by commercials and sometimes friends who they see eating fast food.  One cannot argue that fast food is quick, easy, and cheap.  However, it is very important to watch what you are eating because it not only affects your weight but can also contribute to other health disorders.  H2K is working with a nutritionist for counseling and would like to set up workshops to teach families how to start eating healthy at home.  Hopefully, these good habits will extend to their kids.

To wrap up Julia’s interview with the Sudbury Business Show, she explained that H2K is all about making fitness fun and enjoyable!  It is time to start getting children away from their “screens” (i.e. TV and tablets) and getting more active.  H2K is a safe and motivating environment that offers fun fitness for kids and families!  Our fall schedule is out now-checkout our website or call for details!
