If you were born in the 1960s, you likely grew up with plenty of Lisas. For those born in the 1970s and 1980s, you probably have plenty of Facebook friends named Jennifer.

A report of the most popular baby names for girls has been a huge hit on social media over the past few days. You can find it on Jezebel and the The Atlantic.

The report shows a break down of most popular name by state each year since 1960 as well as the overall most popular name across the country each year.

What have been the most popular girl names in Massachusetts? Here’s a list:

1960-1961 – Susan

1962-1969 – Lisa

1970-1985 – Jennifer

1986-1990 – Jessica

1991 – Ashley

1992 – Jessica

1993 – Sarah

1994-2004 – Emily

2005 – Emma

2006-2008 – Ava

2009 – Olivia

2010 – Isabella

2011 – Sophia

2012 – Emma

As you can see, Lisa and Jennifer dominated much of the 1960s through 1980s. Since then, Massachusetts parents have gone against the national trend some years and haven’t been consistent year-over-year.
