Two Marlborough Boys to Head to Nationals for Youth Football
Football players William Soto Jr. and Charlie Michaelides will participate in Nationals this month in Florida.
Two Marlborough boys, William Soto Jr. and Charlie Michaelides, are members of the Nashoba Youth Football 8th grade team that will head to Nationals this month.
The team, a part of the American Youth Football league, is among seven in the U.S. that qualified for Nationals, which will take place from Dec. 7 to 15 in Kissimmee, FL. The team is raising funds now for the trip for all members and coaches, said William Soto Sr.
Soto and Michaelides, both 13, participated in Marlborough Youth Football since childhood, but switched to the Nashoba team this past year because there is no eighth grade youth football option in Marlborough.
Soto is a student in the eighth grade at Whitcomb Middle School, while Michaelides is a student at Immaculate Conception.
