Do You Support Menino's Push For An Eastie Casino?

The mayor has come out strongly in favor of building a casino in Suffolk Downs, rather than Foxborough, but where do you stand?

The law that Gov. Patrick signed allows for up to three Las Vegas-style casinos and a slots parlor in Massachusetts, but the question of where to put each of them is still on the table

The law includes some restrictions--according to Inside Gaming, the state has been divided into three zones, Western Massachusetts, Southeastern Massachusetts, and the Boston area, with each zone only allowed to have one casino.

In a recent report from WBUR, Mayor Menino is pushing for the Boston casino to be a blue-line trip away, at Suffolk Downs in Eastie, and pooh-poohing the possibilities of a casino in Foxborough.

So, all things considered, Bostonians, how do you feel?  Would you rather a casino in the 'burbs or your backyard?

No, this is total B.S. Eastie always loses we have the tunnel, mass dot saying it controls the roads in and out, the airport always trying to land grab more land and give nothing back in comparison to what they stole from the city, the most beautiful park in mass. Imagine if we still had that park, eastie would be totally different now, and probably the best place to live in Boston. Not to mention the jobs , where are the jobs for eastie residents. We never get the jobs due to its coruption, for years i have tried to get a job with mass dot and massport, cahnces are slim to none an I live where the consequences of their actions evrey day. Brookline opens a new hospital and the city wouldn't let them open unless 80% of its jobs were offered to residents of the city. Do you think 80 % of massports or Mass dots jobs are given to eastie residents ... NO!!! keep the casinos out let another city take one for the team this time , why are we always the dumping ground, and get nothing in return???
