The first full weekend of summer brings a busy calendar of events for Marlborough, starting Friday and running through Sunday.
On Friday, the rescheduled Relay for Life takes place at Ghiloni Park. The event begins with a survivor's reception at 5 p.m. The opening ceremony takes place at 6 p.m. followed by the survivor lap. Participants will walk all night, with proceeds raised benefitting the American Cancer Society.
Saturday brings Olivia's Ride, a fundraiser that will benefit Children's Hospital in Boston. The motorcyle ride, sponsored by the Marlborough Eagle Riders, begins with registration, coffee and doughnuts at 9 am. at the Marlborough Eagles. Riders will depart at 11 a.m., riding to the Marlboro Fish & Game at 1 Muddy Ln. Cost to participate is $20 per rider and $10 per passenger, with all proceeds going to Children's Hospital.
Olivia's Ride is named after Olivia McGowan, who suffered from Fryns Syndrome and died last year at the age of 8.
Also on Saturday, on Main St. will host The Bella Memorial: A Dog Day Afternoon, from 3 to 6 p.m. to benefit the Save A Dog Foundation.
The event will feature more than 20 wines and a barbecue as well as raffles and is named after Bella, the store's late golden retriever mascot. Tickets are $5 and all proceeds will benfit Save A Dog of Sudbury.
Finally, Sunday brings another rescheduled event: The Marlborough Main Street Car Show, which was also washed out by heavy rains earlier this month. The 4th annual Main St. event runs from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. More than 100 classic cars are expected, along with music, food and raffles.
The event is hosted by Marlborough’s and the Push Rods Car Club of Waltham.
