Marlborough's Firefly's to Cook for Blues Barbecue

Marlborough's Firefly's will be providing the food for this year's Blues Barbecue on Sunday, July 13, at the nonprofit Tower Hill Botanic Garden in Boylston. There will be barbecue food, a cash bar, and the professional band Roomful of Blues to entertain attendees as they spread out their blankets and lawn chairs for an evening to remember. Roomful of Blues has legions of fans around the globe and has been performing for more than 40 years. Their music can be described as a combination of jumpy, horn-heavy, hard-edged blues and R&B. The Blues Barbecue is from 5:30 to 8 p.m., and the music starts at 6:30 p.m. rain or shine. Tickets for the public are $40 in advance and $43 the day of the event.
