Joslin Diabetes Center Hosts 13th Annual High Hopes Gala World Diabetes Day Celebration

Joslin Diabetes Center’s High Hopes Gala (www.highhopesgala.com) and National Diabetes Month celebration promote awareness and raises funds for clinical care programs and ground-breaking research initiatives at Joslin Diabetes Center. Joslin’s mission is to prevent, treat and cure diabetes.  

This fabulous black-tie event benefits Joslin Diabetes Center’s High Hopes Fund, which supports the Center’s greatest needs in research, education and clinical care.  The High Hopes Gala 2012 will honor the Nunnally Family, whose generous support established the Diane Nunnally Hoppes Laboratory for Diabetes Complications at Joslin. 

Last year’s High Hopes Gala was a record breaking event! The year’s event will include a lively cocktail reception and exciting silent and live auctions. Some of the featured items for auction include: trips to destinations such as Hawaii, Paris, or Bermuda, and a Monday Night Football game with ESPN and Steve Young at Gillette Stadium.

There will be a raffle for a 3-year lease on a 2013 Mini-Cooper from Herb Chambers Motors. Only 2,000 tickets will be sold and the winner gets to pick the color of the car! Tickets are $100 each or 6 for $500 and can be purchased until noon on November 16th.

The Gala will also feature a Rat Pack themed evening of music and dancing with the sounds of Michael Dutra and Strictly Sinatra!
