Cooking with Culinary Books, Database, and the Internet

The Marlborough Public Library’s  Reference Department will be offering a “Culinary” evening on January 17, 2013 in the Bigelow auditorium from 7:00-8:00pm.  Participants will be introduced to the Gale Culinary database provided by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners and helpful Internet sites.  They may also explore some of the many cookbooks found in our Dewey 641 section that may be checked out and tried out at home. Hopefully there will be time for browsing our many cookbooks and searching the Internet for recipes that look tasty.  If there are any questions, please don’t hesitate to call the reference department at 508-624-6992 or email marlboroughreference@cwmars.org.

The Library will continue their free, drop-in computer help sessions on Thursdays, including January 3,10, 24, and 31 from 7 to 8 p.m.  During these open sessions, a Reference Librarian will be on-hand to help you create an email account; get to websites; learn Microsoft Office basics; download books to your Kindle or Nook; and more! You can bring your own laptop computer, or use one of the library's. No registration is required.  Please drop in ... and bring your questions!
