CaRMaH Kitten Shower

  • CaRMah Kitten Shower at Hudson boys & Girls Club April 26 - Donations, dollars needed to support 450 cats/kittens

(Hudson MA) – The Cat Rescue of Marlborough and Hudson (CaRMaH) is pleased to announce its Kitten Shower on Saturday, April 26, 2014, from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. at the Hudson Boys and Girls Club, 21 Church Street, Hudson, MA. The event is a public donation drive to help collect supplies and funds CaRMaH utilizes to care for approximately 450 cats and kittens each year. Free and open to the public, guests are asked to donate items needed, such as Kitten Milk Replacement (KMR) formula, non-clumping litter, feeding bottles, canned and dry kitten food, human baby food (100% chicken, turkey, etc., not meat mixed with vegetables) kitten weight scale, heating pads, evaporated milk and unflavored gelatin.

“This will be an all-ages event for people to learn more about the organization and hopefully meet some of our latest arrivals,” said President Jocelyne Durrenberger. “Just like a baby shower, guests will bring a gift for the kittens. We’ll serve snacks and drinks and will also have raffles and games, so there will be something for everyone.”

The Kitten Shower is a great opportunity to learn about the CaRMaH foster parent program and CaRMaH’s work with the feral and homeless cat population in the Hudson and Marlborough area and surrounding Metrowest towns.

About CaRMaH (Cat Rescue of Marlborough and Hudson)

CaRMaH, originally MAAS, the Metrowest Animal Awareness Society, was founded in 2002 in response to the feral and homeless cat population in Marlborough, Hudson and surrounding towns. The organization began as a trap, neuter, return (TNR) program for these cats in 2002, with feeding stations where the cats are fed daily.

In 2012, our name was changed to CaRMaH to better reflect our goals. And to bring all who we touch good CaRMaH!

We are a volunteer organization that maintains a foster care adoption program, with Meow Mixers (meet and greet events) twice a month at the Petcos in Marlborough and Hudson and Especially for Pets in other Metrowest towns. Our other major programs are vaccine and TNR programs; foster home programs for healthy and special needs cats and kittens; citizen foster program for residents needing to rehome their cats; community education program featuring cat ambassadors and barn program for feral relocation.

We have placed over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes and have spayed or neutered more than 500 feral cats.
