Carmine Gentile has kicked off his campaign for State Representative in the 13th Middlesex District. Gentile is running to fill the seat being vacated by State Rep. Tom Conroy. Conroy is running for State Treasurer.

The 13th Middlesex District includes the communities of Marlborough, Sudbury, Framingham and Wayland.

Gentile is a small business owner and lawyer with decades of experience serving his community. His role in the community includes coaching soccer and serving as Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 63 where he continues to serve as an Assistant Scout Master and High Adventure Coordinator. He joined the Sudbury Rotary Club and served as its president. He's also served on Sudbury's Finance Committee, Board of Registrars, Planning Board, and currently is a member of the Council on Aging. In a press release issued Thursday, Gentile says he's earned a deeper understanding of municipal budgets and the impact of state legislation on our communities through his service.

“I have learned a lot about what is important in the 13th Middlesex District by working alongside you in community groups, participating on town boards and listening to your concerns,” says Gentile in the release. “Massachusetts must meet todays challenges and invest in infrastructure, transportation, education, and protecting the environment in order to maintain a robust economy and quality of life that makes Massachusetts such a great place to live and work.”

Gentile says he's committed to being an independent voice at the State House, who will put community interests ahead of personal advancement at the State House.

“I believe in government that is accessible and responsive and will work hard over the coming months to earn your vote," he says.
