Obits: 26 year-old, a Nun and "The Candyman"

Marlborough: Joseph "Big Joe" Serio III, 34, of Marlborough, formerly of Waltham, died unexpectedly Wednesday evening, Nov. 28, at his home.

Westborough: Richard J. “Dick” Holt, 80, died peacefully on Thursday, Nov. 29. He received his Bachelor and Master’s of Science degrees from Boston College and he was also a PhD candidate and Teaching Fellow at Harvard, which he left to co-found Weston Geophysical Engineering, Inc. at Weston Observatory.

Marlborough: Sister Mina Goulet, SSCh., (Sr. Elise-Marie), died Monday, Nov. 26 at Marie Esther Healthcare Center in Marlborough.

A member of the Sisters of St. Chretienne for over 75 years, Sister Mina's life experiences enabled her to provide those in her care with kindness and support and she was always willing to share her abilities wherever she was needed.

Shrewsbury: Raymond Wilfred Hebert of Brewster, MA, affectionately known as “The Candyman”, died peacefully at home with family by his side on Nov. 26.

He served his country in WWII as a member of the Naval Armed Guard on the S.S. Sydney Lanier. Upon returning home he moved to Shrewsbury and worked for 40 years with his father and brother to make Hebert Candies, the largest manufacturing retailer of fine candies in New England.
