Marlborough Relay For Life Postponed

Inclement weather has pushed the cancer research fundraiser back two weeks to June 21.

With the threat of rain and poor weather Friday night, organizers of the Marlboro/Hudson Relay For Life have postponed it until June 21.

"We appreciate everyone's understanding," said a message on the event's website.

Cool weather and rain is in the forecast for Friday night when the relay would take place.

"This storm is with us Friday Night and Saturday morning with more rain--some of it locally heavy," said Meteorologist Jeremy Reiner of the weekend storm on the Channel 7 Weather Blog.

The relay will now take place at Ghiloni Park on June 21. The shift affects 51 teams made up of 403 participants that have thus far raised $64,705, according to the event's website.
