5 Things You Need to Know Today: Feb. 28

Trash collection (yes there is a note this week), millions for the schools and poetry; we have what you need to know today right here.

1. All Solid Waste & Recycling pick up for Zone B, East of Rt. 85, will be Friday, March 1.

2. The city's budget is being prepared but no number has been attached and it will be a little longer until the city gets a number together for a proposed lump sum for the schools, said Mayor Arthur Vigeant at Tuesday night's School Committee Meeting. Once that number is assigned, the real school budget negotiations will begin.
