5 Things You Need to Know Today: April 18

Police want area residents to be on the lookout for a potentially dangerous individual, and a Marlborough Patch blogger was recently hurt in an animal attack. We wish her a speedy recovery.

1. Police in nearby Westborough were on the lookout Tuesday for an individual that enticed a teenage boy to get into his car with him. Police are asking anyone with information to call them at 508-366-3060. 

2. Marlborough presented a certificate of appreciation to representatives of the local retail center on Tuesday, during a ceremony attended by city officials and members of the city's senior community. Vigeant thanked Home Depot, which will lead efforts to beautify the senior housing at 29 Pleasant St. "Marlborough is fortunate to have a number of local businesses who continue to step up to the plate and give back to this community," said Vigeant. 

3. told Patch late Tuesday that an arrest made over the weekend involved an individual who was charged with carrying a knife.

4. We've gotten word that  has been severely injured after she was attacked by a dog. We don't have all the details, but we want to wish her a speedy recovery from her wounds. Durrenberger, is the director of the CaRMaH, formerly known as the MetroWest Animal Awareness Society (MAAS).
