5 Things: Government Changes and $5,000 to a Teacher

From changes at the state level to a local teacher receiving a $5,000 grant; we have the news you need to know.

1. Lt. Gov. Tim Murray announced he would resign yesterday. He will take a position with the Worcester Chamber of Commerce. Reports indicate he will resign next month.

2. The rains last night have not caused a lift in the watering ban currently in effect in the city.

3. Large homes were the choice for Marlborough in the last week. These did not sell at any record pace, but they went quicker than many other homes in the city have sold recently.

4. An AMSA teacher received recognition when she was awarded STEM Teacher of the Year on Tuesday. She will receive a $5,000 grant for her hard work.
