5 Things: $900,000 Grant Proposal and a Joke

1. The Community Development Block Grant will be discussed tonight in Hudson. This $900,000 grant could cover improvements to Marlborough and Hudson. A meeting will be held tonight at Hudson Town Hall at 78 Main Street and Marlborough City Hall tomorrow at 9 a.m.

2. The School Committee will be meeting tonight at 7:30 p.m. They recently made their pick for the next permanent superintendent.

3. Today we have listed the latest obituaries. There are some great life stories here from a boat commander in the Navy to a nun in her 90's.

4.The Zoning Board will be discussing a single family home lot that is a non-conforming shape at their meeting tonight at 7 p.m. It is a far cry from a 225 unit apartment building, but the board covers all zoning appeals in the city.

5. City Councilor Joseph Delano quipped with representatives from Verizon going for a zoning change last night when he said "I am half tempted to say we should schedule this meeting between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. and the councilors can show up when they want to like they do.”
