Teachers Surprised with Random Act of Kindness

Representatives from the St. Mary's Credit Union surprised teachers Wednesday with food, gifts and five iPads as the year comes to a close.

Teachers at Whitcomb Middle School were surprised with gifts and food in a random act of kindness carried out by St. Mary's Credit Union Wednesday.

“We were delighted to deliver this surprise ‘thank you’ to educators that play such an important role in our community,” said Anthony J. Battista, Vice President, Marketing for the Credit Union, “and to advance their technological capabilities with the donation of the iPads.”

At their last faculty meeting of the year, the 130 faculty members at the middle school were gifted with travel mugs, candy, gift cards and catering for the meeting. Five new iPads were gifted to the school.

The act wass part of St. Mary’s Credit Union’s 100 anniversary celebration, with Credit Union employees thanking the teachers for all that they do for the students, said St. Mary's Officials.

The bank has carried out previous acts of kindness and plans to continue throughout the year.
