Readers Choose Jake's for Breakfast

"Fresh, not fancy," is what you'll get at , according to owner Loucas Comitas.

And that's the preference among Marlborough Patch readers, .

"I feel privileged, and accepted in the city of Marlborough," Comitas said. "At this point, I feel obligated to maybe create new menu items and improve our customer service even more."

Jake's just celebrated its ninth anniversary on March 24, Comitas said. Great service, as well as delicious food and large portions, is what he believes sets the restaurant apart.

Homemade corned beef hash is a customer favorite. Comitas also cited the popularity of the waffles (a variety of toppings is offered) and three flavors of steak tips. Jake's also serves lunch.

"I think this vote shows (how much customers appreciate) the dedication and hard work of everyone who works here," Comitas said.
