New England Sports Complex Closes Rink After Ice Falls from Roof

The volume of snow Marlborough has received has brought with it some safety concerns at the New England Sports Center this morning.

The in Marlborough closed one of its rinks this morning after a large chunk of ice fell from the roof making a large commotion and causing concerns among patrons.

A representative at the facility confirmed the incident, and said that Rink 6 has been closed to the public since this morning. A member of the Hudson Fire Department responded to the scene and inspected the roof. It was deemed that there was no serious damage, and the rink will reopen at 2 p.m. today.

Chief John Blood, of the Hudson Fire Department, was not available for comment.
