Marlborough Target Supports Assabet Valley Regional Technical High

Former student, now employee, calls with good news.

Principal Mark Hollick was pleasantly surprised when a former Assabet Valley student called with some good news.

“Melissa Skinner, the Guest Services Team Leader in the Marlborough store,  called to tell me that Target stores make donations to local schools with a Title One program, and that, as an alumna, she was especially pleased to be awarding the $500 grant to us. Of course, I invited her to come right over!” announced Hollick.

“We are thrilled that we can support the work that Assabet is doing with the students as part of Target’s plans to give $1 billion for education by the end of 2015. The money can be used to purchase brand-new books for the library from Target’s literacy partner, First Book,” explained Skinner.
