UPDATE: William "Bill" Short Funeral Date Set for Tuesday

William "Bill" Short is gone at the age of 63.

Marlborough Patch received word Thursday that a longtime Marlborough resident and businessman had died. 

William R. Short, 63, the owner of the on West Main Street died Wednesday, April 4, 2012. 

His funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 10, in the Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.  Visiting hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, April 9 in the .

 had announced recently that they would that was to take place Thursday, April 5. Sportscaster Larry Johnson was scheduled be the guest speaker at the event. 

"Employment Options still honored Bill last evening at their awards dinner," said David Greenwood in a post on the Marlborough Patch Facebook page. "All laughed and shed a few tears at the same time but if anyone knows Bill, he would have wanted the show to go on and have every one laughing. Bill will be missed by all who knew him and anyone who was at an event that he served as an emcee."
