'Charmed' Hopes to be Part of Main Street's New Spirit

Downtown's newest business is a spiritual gift shop.

The paint inside Main Street's newest business was still drying when owner Tara Ann opened the door to Charmed. 

"It all came together very quickly," she said as she completed final preparations inside the space, which previously housed a nail salon before it was vacant. "Once we heard about the opportunity, things happened fast."

A Marlborough resident, Tara Ann has operated a shop at the Lancaster Flea Market as well as an online shop

The store offers unique gift items, including many hand-crafted by local artists. There are also plans in the works to use the space for group meditation and other gatherings. A formal grand opening for the store is planned for the fall.  

Tara Ann knows that Main Street business leaders and city officials are hoping to have the downtown area .

"They are going to try to attract more shops and more artists and we're hoping to be on the ground floor of that."
