Hotel Business up Nearly 25 Percent

Hotels in the city cleared $32.8 million in business in 2012.

Marlborough's hotels saw a 23.5 percent growth over the last three years, according to a report from Worcester Business Journal.

"Marlborough is fortunate to have so many great restaurateurs and business owners, who are committed to not only providing our residents and employers with a variety of high-quality places to dine out in, but who also work together to strengthen the fabric of our community," Mayor Arthur Vigeant was quoted as saying in the WBJ article.

According to the Marlborough Economic Development Corporation city hotels did $32.8 million in business in 2012 compared to $26.6 million in 2010 while the total revenue from hotel meals rose 19 percent, according to the WBJ.
