Company Open for Business Following Fire

There were no injuries and minor damage to a building hit by a fire Monday night.

A local business that was struck by a fire Monday night is open for business Tuesday.

A fire that hit Fran and Sons Automotive at 311 Maple Street Monday night around 6:15 p.m. left the building with little damage and caused no injuries, according to fire officials. Fire personnel responded to the scene and wrapped up the fire in 15 minutes, said Marlborough Fire Deputy Chief Stanley Clement.

There was some very minor building damage but the structure is inhabitable and open for business today.

Officials from the Marlborough Fire Department are investigating the cause of the fire.
