700 Jobs to be Lost in Intel Plant Closure

The closing of Intel's manufacturing facility in Hudson would remove 700 jobs from the area.

Intel has announced that it will close its Hudson manufacturing facility, with roughly 700 jobs expected to be lost, reports The Boston Globe.

The chips that the only manufacturing location in Massachusetts makes are being phased out, according to the article. The plant will close by the end of next year although 850 other workers at the facility will continue to be employed, reports the Globe.
