5 Things You Need To Know Today: April 6

Here is a list of things going on in and around Marlborough today.

1. It seems we have a fairly quiet day ahead of us weather-wise. The National Weather Service says it will be breezy with a high in the mid-50s. 

2. Saint John’s High School in Shrewsbury held its 34th annual National Honor Society Induction and Awards Ceremony recently, and Adithyan Panchamoorthy, class of 2013, of Marlborough, was among those recognized. Congratulations from Patch!

3. The Marlborough SEPAC will host "Transition 101: High School to Adulthood," a workshop to be held at the District Education Center from 7-9 p.m., that will address "the effective use of the IEP and the Massachusetts Transition Planning Form for students who are ages 14 to 22. Individualized, person centered planning of curriculum and supports throughout high school leads to better post high school outcomes and opportunities in education, training, and/or employment for students with disabilities," said a release.

4. Stonehill College sophomore Rebecca Moore, of Marlborough, has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Women’s Lacrosse Goalkeeper of the Week by the conference office for the second time this season. Congratulations!

5. There are plenty of activities going on at the today including a field trip for the Wayside Water Fitness Class.
