Here is a list of things going on in and around Marlborough today.

1. Those dreaded words "rain and snow" are mentioned prominently in our forecast today. Flurries turning to rain after 10 a.m. are expected, according to the National Weather Service. No accumulation is expected, and temps should get close to 50 degrees by midday. Watch out for the wind though; gusts could reach an excess of 25mph. 

2. Peter Howe, business reporter for New England Cable News, will be the featured speaker at the next Distinguished Speaker’s Breakfast for the Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday. The breakfast will begin at 7:45 a.m. at the  The event is open to all at a cost of $20 for members; $30 for non-members.

3.  in Price Chopper plaza is now offering "the business to business special." Bring in you business card every time you come in for lunch or dinner and get five percent off your order. Once they have five of your business cards, they will display your business cards in the restaurant.

4. The City of Marlborough is planning to buy a hybrid vehicle, hire a part-time energy efficiency manager, and install solar panels on a city building, all according to a recent story by the Worcester Business Journal about Green Community Grants.
