5 Things to Know Today: March 11

1. Up to an inch of rain is expected before 5 p.m. today, and the flood warning is still in effect. Temps will be up in the mid-50s. See the details here. 

2. There's  a cheer-leading competition at the  fieldhouse tomorrow beginning at 8 a.m. 

3. Don't forget to change your clocks on Sunday morning! It is time to "spring forward" once again. This of course means we will get one hour less sleep that day, but will enjoy the extra light it will afford us each day. 

4. Today is author Douglas Adams birthday. His "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" is a classic comedic work that should be available at the . Whether that's your taste or not, take some time to read a good book this weekend.
