Here at Marlborough Patch, we take social media pretty seriously.

The platform is one way we look to interact with you, answer your questions and get to see what's on your mind. Social Media Saturday is a weekly feature where we highlight your questions and thoughts you've shared on FacebookTwitter and other media throughout the past week.

We'll also point you to some new and interesting pages you may not have known about before.

Highlights of the Week:

Currently, we've got 319 fans liking us on Facebook, which is a great thing. We've also got 346 followers on Twitter, with numbers growing every day. Here are some highlights of what took place this week:

  • Last Friday, Marlborough lost a young resident much too early. On Tuesday we ran a that was shared on Facebook 112 times. 


  • Our Viewfinder slideshow on Thursday was a week in review in photographs. This story was also shared several times on Facebook.

     
  • 41 readers recommended our on Facebook, and the alerts were shared on Twitter as well. While things looked scary for a little while, Marlborough ended up only seeing some heavy rain and vivid lightening. 

     
  • Last Saturday the as our Social Media Page of the week. Catherine at Downey commented on the story, and it was shared several times on Facebook.

The MetroWest Animal Awareness Society does a lot in the communities around Marlborough to make sure every cat has a good home. They've got nearly 400 followers on Facebook who are kept abreast of the rescue's efforts with regular posts. They also frequently on Marlborough Patch.
