Inaugural Concert Sunday for Chamber Music Metrowest

A local group brings chamber music to Marlborough on Sunday.

The innaugural concert of the Chamber Music Metrowest group is set for this Sunday with performances from flute, viola and harp.

“We wanted to start off with a big performance. So, we’ve gathered together a fantastic line-up of artists," said founder of the organization, Bonnie Cochran.

The performance is free to the public and will take place at 3 p.m. in the Hellenic Hall at Saints Anargyroi Greek Orthodox Church on 9 Cashman Street.

Performers will be Ina Zdorovetchi on the harp, Daniel Doña on the viola and Cochran herself on the flute.

“This concert will give me the opportunity not only to play beautiful music with distinguished colleagues, but it will also allow me to talk to the audience about our organization and what we’re trying to do,” she said.

Chamber Music Metrowest’s mission is to bring chamber music to life for the Metrowest Boston community by providing accessible and affordable high-caliber concerts and educational programs. This mission is founded on the belief that music has a remarkable power to bring positive change to a community by educating, entertaining, uplifting and inspiring, said Cochran.

The concert will include Ravel “Piece en forme de habanera,” Beethoven “Serenade, op. 25,” Dubois “Terzettino” and Debussy “Sonata.”
