2. The Friends of the Marlborough Public Library will present the “THE ANICK 14th Young People’s Performing Arts Festival Concert” this evening at 6:30 p.m. with the five finalists of the auditions held on March 5 to be showcased. The concert will be presented in the Bigelow Auditorium of the . Performing will be Lucy Song, flute, Westborough; Vivian Fang, flute, Shrewsbury; Alex Mayhew, trombone, Northborough and Missy Previte, clarinet, Johnston, RI . They will receive a cash award plus the “Anick Award for Musical Excellence” named in Honor of Connie Anick for her ten years of serving as Friends Music Chair and the founder of the Young People’s Performing Arts Festival Concerts.

The parade will begin at 10 a.m. Monday, May 30 at the American Legion headquarters on Maple St. The parade will conclude at 11 a.m. at Monument Square where guest speakers, including Senator Scott Brown, will remember those who've given their lives for this country.
