5 Things You Need To Know Today: June 3

Here is a list of things going on in and around Marlborough today.

1. The National Weather Service says we are headed towards another beautiful day on Friday, with sunny skies and a high near 70 degrees.

2. From 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, the anti-tobacco group OPPOSE will be at the educating youth and the general public on the dangers of tobacco. The group just launched an online community with the MA Dept of Public Health to help bring awareness to underhanded sneaky tobacco product marketing targeted at kids. They will have interactive exhibits and giveaways.

3. The will be hosting another children's event on Saturday called Kidgits Mini Chef. Kids will have the chance to get creative with food by making cookies and pizzas, crafting cereal necklaces, and learning how to properly use chop sticks. The event is from noon to 2 p.m. in the .

4. The Sudbury Valley Trustees will host a walk on Saturday from 8 to 10:30 a.m. at the Nobscot Scout Reservation in Sudbury. Celebrate National Trails Day by hiking this 300 acre region. Nobscot offers an enjoyable hike up to Tippling Rock, one of the highest points in eastern Massachusetts! On a clear day, there are views of three states, Boston's towers, Mt. 5. The Marlborough Chamber of Commerce is hosting an event from 8 to 9 a.m. this morning for new and future members. This gathering will allow individuals to expand their circle of contacts and learn more about the Chamber. No registration is required; just show up!
