100 Years Ago: Temperature Threatens to Send the Mercury Soaring

Marlboro put in a hot Sunday with the thermometer registering 97 degrees at the hottest period of the day. During the afternoon and the evening the intensity of the heat was felt the most and the evening was declared by many to be the most uncomfortable evening of the year.
