100 Years Ago: Survey Says Married Men are Happier

George Thatcher's old query, "Who lives the longer, married men or single men?" was answered by the Robin Hill Improvement Society Tuesday evening, when after a debate eloquently framed and with the joys and tribulations realistically pictured those who championed the married side of the argument triumphed. 

George Thatcher used to answer his own question by saying that the married men lived the longer, and then came back with the correction that it only seemed longer.
