100 Years Ago: Sudden, Heavy Rain Causes Local Flooding

Just about everyday Marlborough Patch will highlight an interesting story from the Marlborough Daily Enterprise published on that date 100 years ago.

Sept. 26, 1911: Did it Rain Monday? Water Flooded Streets and Carried Crushed Stone form Prospect

The most vivid rain storm that has taken place in Marlboro for years broke out Monday evening about 5:30 and continued nearly three-quarters of an hour, causing no little damage to highways and grounds. The streets were turned into rivers and the level places into lakes.
