100 Years Ago: Spanish War Vets Celebrate Reunion in Marlborough

Six days a weeks Marlborough Patch will highlight an interesting story from the Marlborough Daily Enterprise published on that date 100 years ago.

July 26, 1911: Spanish War Vets Reunion: Celebrate Anniversary of Landing of Co, F, 6th Mass. Reg.  at Porto Rico

The annual reunion of Company F, 6th Regt., Spanish War Veterans took place at the Nebegonga boat club house, Fort Meadow, Tuesday afternoon, the anniversary of the day on which the company landed on Porto Rico during the Spanish war 

The attendance of several members at other attractions kept down the attendance, but still there were 27 present. There was no extensive line of red tape to be unraveled, but those present waded right in and made a great day of it.
