100 Years Ago: Police Officer Honored for 25 Years of Service

Six days a weeks (Mon—Sat) Marlborough Patch will highlight an interesting story from the Marlborough Daily Enterprise published on that date 100 years ago.

June 9, 1911: On the Police Force 25 Years: Placide Durand the Oldest Officer in Point of Service in the City

Placide Durand completed 25 years service on the police force Thursday and many of his friends kindly remembered him. Patrolman Durand is the oldest officer in point of service now on the force. He was appointed on the force by the board of selectmen.
