100 Years Ago: Marlborough's First Mayor Names City in Will

May 20: Will of S.H. Howe has Public Bequests: Hospiatl Gets $2,000, Unitarian Church $5000, Natural History Society $1000 -- Rest to Relatives

The will of Hon. Simon Herbert Howe, first mayor of Marlboro, and shoe manufacturer, was filed in the probate court Firday by Choate, Hall & Stewart, Boston, attorneys for Mr. Howe. The will is dated Dec. 24, 1910 and names Louis P. Howe, D. Howard Fletcher and Herbert H. Stevens, all of Marlboro as executors and trustees.
