100 Years Ago: Marlborough Man Gives 'Mimself' Up to Police After Assault

Just about everyday Marlborough Patch will highlight an interesting story from the Marlborough Daily Enterprise published on that date 100 years ago.

Sept. 13, 1911: Gives Mimself [sic] Up to Police

Joseph Mucci, who is alledged to have attacked Tony Damico, Washington St., Sunday night, June 19, surrendered himself to City Marshal John F. Mitchell Tuesday afternoon and immediately secured the services of John J. Mitchell as counsel. He will appear in court Thursday fore-noon.

The surrender of Mucci is no surprise to police. For some time his friends have been offering to surrender him on the condition that the complaint be squashed. The police, however, have refused all overtures and he finally came to turn himself in.
