Readers of The Enterprise will be surprised to learn that ex-Rep. Edwin A. Bayley of Lexington is not to be a candidate for senator against Rep. Charles F. McCarthy of this city. It has been understood that Rep. Bayley would be the Republican candidate this year and Mr. Bayley himself rather looked forward to the possibility of running.
