Wind Chill Advisory: Expect Temperatures to Reach Minus-15 Degrees or Colder

The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill advisory for MetroWest, including Marlborough, from 10 p.m. Wednesday until 10 a.m. Thursday.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill advisory for MetroWest, including Marlborough, from 10 p.m. Wednesday until 10 a.m. Thursday.

It will be bitterly cold and wind chill readings are expected to drop below minus-15 degrees.

Winds are expected to be 5 to 10 miles per hour with gusts up to 20 miles per hour. Temperatures, without the winds, are forecasted to be at zero.
 
A wind chill advisory is issued when the wind chill index is below minus-15 degrees for more than 3 hours.

Frost bite can develop in just 30 minutes with a wind child of minus-20 degrees.
