Welcome to Marlborough's Social Media Saturday

Here at Marlborough Patch, we take social media pretty seriously.

The platform is one way we look to interact with you, answer your questions and get to see what's on your mind. Social Media Saturday is a weekly feature where we highlight your questions and thoughts you've shared on Facebook, Twitter and other media throughout the past week.

We'll also point you to some new and interesting pages you may not have known about before.

Highlights of the Week

Currently, we've got 296 fans liking us on Facebook, which is a great thing. We've also got 340 followers on Twitter, with numbers growing every day. Here are some highlights of what took place this week:

• On Friday we featured a story about the supposed end of times called "The End of the World is ... May 21?" It quickly drew several comments on our Facebook page. 
  
  
  
• After we reported on a in Marlborough on Wednesday, one reader was concerned by the lede on our story and said as much in the comments on Facebook.
  
   
• We sent out a Tweet on Thursday afternoon to let people know that we'd just posted a great slideshow of an Assabet Valley girls softball home game. It was promptly retweeted by one of our faithful readers.
