Rotary Celebrates 90th Anniversary with Gala for Cancer Pavilion Saturday

Rotary celebrates 90th anniversary while raising money for cancer pavilion.

Celebrating a 90th anniversary can be done in many ways, but for the Marlborough Rotary Club raising money for the UMass Memorial Marlborough Hospital's Cancer Pavilion was the ticket.

“We are pleased to be partnering with the hospital to make this happen and limit the commute many patients face when getting [cancer] treatments,” said Club President Bonnie Doolin.  “Now if only we can hasten a cure ... since most of us have been touched by this devastating disease [cancer] in one way or another, Marlborough Rotarians have decided to do something about that as well!”

With the goal of raising $20,000 towards the pavilion, the Marlborough Rotary Club 90th Anniversary Gala will be held on September 29 at Hellenic Hall in downtown Marlborough.
