Mother's Day Weather Forecast

Marlborough and much of Massachusetts is expecting sunny skies on Mother's Day.

Though cloudy skies and rain are expected today and throughout much of the week, forecasters at the National Weather Service say that Massachusetts is in store for a beautiful Mother's Day weekend.

Before we get there, however, the NWS has issued an hazardous weather outlook for this evening, with heavy rain expected at times.

"Although the probability for widespread flooding is low, there is still a potential for urban/poor drainage flooding to occur in heavier downpours tonight," said a statement.

The NWS said that flooding could also occur locally on Wednesday and Thursday, as there is a chance of heavy showers both days.

The weekend forecast presents a much brighter forecast, however, with cloudy skies expected to break up Friday.
