Holiday Fun and Savings in Marlborough and Beyond

Save this week with coupons and gift ideas, and find out about a free Chanukah event in Sudbury.

1.  free sub coupon: "Like" Quiznos Facebook page and click on the "Fan Coupon" tab to download a coupon good for a free sub when you purchase a sub of equal or greater value and a regular fountain drink. The coupon I printed was good until Jan. 2.

2. Chanukah Celebration and Menorah Lighting: On Dec. 20 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., join Chabad Center of Sudbury as they host the annual Menorah lighting and Chanukah Celebration. Take part in the lighting of a giant, 9 foot tall Menorah in front of the Sudbury Town Hall at 322 Concord Rd. Following the lighting, come inside the Grange Hall for a Chanukah celebration that will include a magic show with Professor Dan, music, and refreshments. There is no charge for this event, and RSVPs can be made at info@chabadsudbury.com or by calling 978-443-0110.

4. $1 Sampler Sized candles at : A great idea if you have a lot of little gifts to buy. Regularly $1.99, candle Samplers and Tarts are just $1 with a coupon. Find a coupon on Yankee Candle's Facebook page. Yankee Candle is located inside the .

5. Thoughtful and frugal holiday gifts: Many bloggers have great ideas for holiday gifts that you can make: Roo Mag has some “Clutter Free” Christmas gift ideas, including "Hot Cocoa Cones" and Bath Tea Soak. Volunteerspot has a couple of cute ideas for making gifts for your favorite teachers, including a gift card snowglobe and group gift ideas. And, in case you didn't know:  The City of Marlborough just announced new rates for the City’s municipal opt-out aggregation program for eligible residential and business electricity customers. This program’s residential and commercial rate will be 7.95 cents per kilowatt-hour. National Grid’s residential rate is 8.265 cents per kilowatt-hour. Marlborough residents are automatically part of this program unless they opt-out and most residents are part of the program.
