  •Friday Night Skating
Where/When: Roller Kingdom, 5 Highland Park Ave., Hudson. Friday Feb. 11, 2-4 p.m. 
Why Go: With more than 25,000 sq ft. filled with programmed light and sound shows, a video arcade, the karaoke and dance “Beat Box,” as well as a beautiful hardwood skating surface, Roller Kingdom guarantees you fun for all ages. For an entirely different dimension of action and excitement our rink has Lasertag - a great addition to your festivities.
Pricing: $7 includes skate rental.

Secret of the Cardboard Rocket
Where/When:
EcoTarium 222 Harrington Way, Worcester. Saturday, Feb. 12, at 11 a.m.
Why Go: Join two curious kids who turn a cardboard carton into a rocket and blast off to explore the solar system – with the help of a talking astronomy book. Cruise the inner planets, the asteroid belt, the rings of Saturn, the outer planets and find out why we live on the most interesting planet of all. Produced in spectacular 3D animation.
Pricing: Tickets can be purchased at the Information Desk on the day of your visit.
$5 per person (plus museum admission $12 for adults, $8 for children)

Winter Festival
Where/When: Hastings Elementary School, 111 E. Main St., Westborough. Saturday Feb. 12, from 4:30-7:30 p.m.
Why Go: A magic show by Munsey's Magic, win a cake in the Cake Walk, guitarist Morgan Scott, games, prizes, crafts, silent auction, food, drinks and baked goods.
Pricing: Free to enter. All proceeds from this event benefit the Hastings Parent Group.

Fetch! Copper Cleanup
Where/When:
The Discovery Museums, 177 Main St., Acton. Saturday, Feb. 12, from 1-4 p.m.
Why Go: Pennies become dull when their surface is exposed to oxygen. See if you can make a penny sparkle with ketchup, baking soda, or cola. Explore whether acids or bases work better at restoring a penny’s shine. Sponsored by Middlesex Savings Bank, with additional support from Red Hat, Inc.

Daddy & Daughter Valentines Dance

Ephraim Curtis Middle School, 22 Pratts Mill Rd., Sudbury. Sunday, Feb. 13, from 3:30-5 p.m. 
Why Go: The Sudbury Family Network's first Daddy and Daughter Valentine's Dance. There will be a DJ, craft table, photographer and snacks. Open to fathers, grandfathers, uncles and girls 6 and under.
