Clowns, Balloons, and Folk Songs for the Kids this Weekend

Looking for something to do this weekend with the family? Look no further.

Friday Night Skating
Where/When: Roller Kingdom, 5 Highland Park Ave., Hudson. Friday Feb. 25, from 7-9 p.m.
Why Go: With more than 25,000 sq ft. filled with programmed light and sound shows, a video arcade, the karaoke and dance “Beat Box,” as well as a beautiful hardwood skating surface, Roller Kingdom guarantees you fun for all ages. Messy Masterpiece: Johnny Appleseed
Where/When: The Discovery Museums, 177 Main St., Acton. Friday, March 11, 10 a.m.
Why Go: Come celebrate Johhny Appleseed Day! Listen to Johnny Appleseed by Reeve Lindbergh and then use some juicy apples to make an appetizing work of art.

The Irish Magic Show and Folk Songs
Where/When: Hopkinton Public Library, 13 Main St., Hopkinton. Friday, March 11, at 7 p.m.
Why Go: Magician Debbie O'Carroll and Irish-born folk singer Tom O’Carroll create a delightful magic show that introduces family audiences to the culture of Ireland. They use magic, songs, poetry, comedy and lore to enchant all with the history, language and customs of Ireland.

Mr. Balloon Wizard
Where/When: Amazing Things Arts Center, 160 Hollis St., Framingham. Saturday March 12 at 3 p.m.
Why Go: Balloon Wizard is one of the most popular kids performers in the Boston area! For kids from 3 years old to 103, that everyone will enjoy! His show is unique and like no other! It is a fun, interactive show with real illusions! The best part is Mr. Balloon Wizard twists up some of the coolest balloons one has ever seen! That's right! He is a master balloon twister, along with master magician! Performing in places like Las Vegas, France, Canada and more! His show is like no other and he always asks for several helpers from his audience. He even has a magic work shop as part of the show. Everyone takes an oath and becomes a magician at the end of the show. Kids' Night with Violet the Clown
